A weather-beaten 60’s residence tucked away in a beautiful rural hillside set the stage for this complete redesign and renovation.The design resulted in a living environment totally integrated into the site which provides the owners with serene spaces with natural light, views, and privacy. Natural stone and wood finishes contribute to the home’s warm feeling.

The generous open plan included carefully chosen expanses of glass to take advantage of the winter sun. The design makes the occupants feel as if they are an integrated part of this wooded environment.

The new open kitchen was considerably expanded to include a pizza oven, island, and windows to take advantage of views. Later site improvements designed to complement and blend with the original residence included a two car garage, patio, and whimsical gazebo to protect seedlings from local deer.
